Alexandria Carter

Founder

I like to call myself a curious creative—someone who can solve any problem, figure out anything, and make it happen. When my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2020, I embarked on a mission to understand why he became so sick despite living a relatively healthy life. This journey uncovered a wealth of insights into how our homes influence our well-being. From the food we eat to the products we use and the energy within our spaces, I’ve learned that we have the power to shape our health and future. By bringing function and order to our living spaces and eliminating chaos and toxins, we can create environments that support happier, healthier lives.

I’ve been professionally organizing for over five years, but my passion for organization began in my teens, when I discovered the profound peace of mind and clarity it brings. With Clean is Living, you’re not just getting a service—you’re getting a lifestyle transformation. I blend health, wellness, and function to create the clean, organized, and balanced life you’ve always wanted.

My career path has been as eclectic as my passions. I spent my early years in New York City working on high-end residential construction with an architecture firm. From there, I ventured into sales at a tech company and even launched an Etsy business, where I curated and sold antiques and vintage clothing.

When I’m not working, I express my creativity through poetry, screenwriting, and painting—or by attempting to decode the mysteries of the Instagram algorithm. You’ll often find me walking my two German Shepherd mixes, exploring local flea markets, or finding inspiration in life’s simple pleasures.

FAQ

  • You can be as involved as you would like! We are able to pick and choose some suggested donations to put aside and go over with you in the end, or you can be there throughout the whole process allowing us to ask you questions along the way. During the consultation, we go over with you how the process looks and give you a suggestion for what we might need from you to make the experience the most efficient.

  • We put new systems in place to ensure that your home stays as organized as possible. If you do get overwhelmed, we offer monthly services at a reduced rate to come and put your problem areas back together.

  • We would appreciate a 48 hour minimum to be able to reschedule. We understand that life happens and things come up, so we try to work with our clients to help them out as best we can.

  • We try to work with what you have, but sometimes additional products are needed to keep systems in place. We do not show up with a million products overwhelming you and causing you to worry about how much money you are spending. We declutter and purge first and then put everything away. Lastly, we go over with you what products we think would work the best in certain places. We are very cognizant that everyone cares about budget. We also don’t want to cause more clutter in your home that you will get rid of in a few years. Too much excess product can be just that.

  • We include shopping rates in our quote. Shopping can be overwhelming for our clients because they are not the experts. We are, so we like to remove any points of stress.
